It is with great sadness that we announce the  death of Kel Dennis following a short illness - he will be missed by all his friends and musical associates.

Noel hails from the North East of England and comes from a very musical family (brother Adam piano & father Kel drums). He has been actively involved in the northern jazz scene since he was invited to be part of the Voice Of The North Jazz Orchestra. During his time with VOTN he has worked with  Andy Sheppard, John Warren, Tommy Smith, John Surman, Mark Nightingale, Tim Garland and Michael Garrick.  As well as keeping busy with Voice Of The North and his own band, Noel also finds the time to study with top jazz trumpeter Gerrard Presencer.

The Noel Dennis Band perform mainly jazz standards with a few original compositions
including tunes by Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Ton Harrell and Woody Shaw
